St. Thomas More wants You!
Saint Thomas More Pastoral Council is seeking new members to participate in providing guidance for the growth and direction of the parish. With the blessings of our tremendous growth, we are seeking additional representatives from our diversified parish community including the youth group, seniors and ethnic communities.
The Pastoral Council serves in consultative relationship to Fr. John, our Pastor.
The focus of Pastoral Council is on the spiritual life of the parish and addressing these seven elements of parish life: Evangelization, Worship, Word, Community, Service, Stewardship and Leadership.
Are you a Baptized and Confirmed, practicing Roman Catholic, at least 18 years of age with these gifts?
- The willingness to pray for and listen to God’s guidance in decision making
- The willingness to initiate new ideas, questions and suggestions
- The willingness to communicate – clarifying, giving information, summarizing
- The willingness to reach decisions by way of consensus
- The willingness to reflect on and engage in conversation about issues presented to the council
Nominees will be given an opportunity to obtain information and to discern God’s calling before committing to serve a three year term on the Pastoral Council.
